Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky

Coco Chanel was a great enthusiast and supporter of the art of dance.

She created her first ballet collection in 1924  collaboration with Sergey Diaghilev, the director of the Ballets Russes.

Her love for ballet eventually manifested in the composer Igor Stravinsky.

Coco noticed the groundbreaking composer during a performance of "The Rite Of Spring."

Although their romance has been surrounded by many fictions and tales over time, one thing is certain: the Chanel fashion house remains one of the greatest supporters of ballet to this day.
